Reading my autographed copy of Hap Wilson's 'The Cabin' while waiting to depart from Ferguson Bay. It was amazing finding out the history of the area before traveling through much of the same region talked about in the book. Thanks Hap!!...

This large sign has been here as long as I can remember at the West gate and provides visitors with an overview of the size of Algonquin Park as well as a brief history lesson on the formation of the park...

All the barrels are over 16' off the ground at night - 2 of the barrels in this picture are lowered for daytime access. Always good to be safe than sorry! we generally end up with an informal contest to see who can get their gear...
