This past summer, two of our paddle hiders were invited to speak at TEDx Algonquin Park where the theme was to be “Think Outside”. Preston Ciere, of Portageur.ca, spoke about the importance of spending time in nature and advocating for others to do the same. And because advocating for spending time in nature is what the Paddle In The Park Contest is really all about, it only stands to reason that Preston would be compelled to share the incredible story of the Paddle In The Park Contest with the TEDx audience this past September. The presentation was really well received, and even was noted as a favourite among many of the attendees. Paddle hider and Happy Camper, Kevin Callan, also presented at TEDx Algonquin Park this year, where he touched upon the joys of spending time outside (in his usual delightful and often hilariously entertaining style).  The following videos are the official TEDx versions of both presentations.
