09 Sep Tandem Strangers
While awaiting my turn at the wee little portage from George into Freeland I realized that this couple fit the criteria for a tandem portage. My canoe is a solo, so I have to hope that this photo is clear enough to count. I had a friendly chat with the couple on the other side of the portage. On my return trip I spent about 10 minutes assisting a group of German tourists who didn’t have a map and were wondering if this was the “walkway” to another lake. Friendly rewards!
