Wasn’t watching out
Thought the water was higher
Apparently not

I blame the bowman
He has the better vantage
To see obstacles

We hung up a bit
Tilted and turned the canoe
Left a nice white mark

Every scratch a tale
Every scar a memory
Burned into my mind
