Conor Mihell

Conor Mihell is an award-winning writer, photographer, outdoor leadership instructor, wilderness guide and lifelong resident of Sault Ste. Marie. He is an editor-at-large with Canoe & Kayak magazine and a contributor to Cottage Life, Explore, Readers Digest and ON Nature magazines, among others. His first book, The Greatest Lake: Stories from Lake Superior’s North Shore, is a collection of stories profiling northern Ontario characters, exploring environmental issues and recounting Conor’s own all-season outdoor adventures on Lake Superior. Conor still guides canoe and sea kayak trips in the Lake Superior watershed and beyond, where he shares his passion for the freedom of wilderness travel. Last summer, Conor and his wife, Kim, were honoured to hide a Badger® Paddle in their favourite Superior Provincial Park, just before they departed on a 30-day canoe expedition across northern Quebec that August.
