Meet Nathan

Meet Nathan

For help with this year’s PITPC 5th anniversary celebrations, we brought on board a few outdoor enthusiasts to assist us with the logistics of this special anniversary event. Like our paddle-hiders, we have rallied some pretty incredible people for this task and we would like you to meet them all, starting with Nathan Miller.

Nathan is a super talented photographer, a past PITPC Paddle Points entrant, and long time supporter of Portageur.ca and Badger Paddles. He knows the PITPC from the outside, and is excited to now know it from the inside too. Nathan will be helping with various behind the scenes tasks as well as a few in the forefront, like our #TripDiaryTuesday Paddle Points featured photos on Facebook and Twitter.

So paddles up, welcome and a big PITPC thanks to Nathan. You can read Nathan’s intro and view more of his wonderful pictures below. We know his stunning outdoor photography and love of the PITPC will be sure to inspire you to spend more time in nature!

Nathan Miller, An Official Photographer & Intern at the PITPC

I am a fun, quirky, outgoing, glass is half full over grown child. I am 34 years old and have 2 yr old son and 2 step sons 14 and 11. My passion in life other than my family is the outdoors and photography. I feel my most relaxed sitting in the middle of a misty lake in my canoe just floating there and listening to…..well nothing.

I have been doing photography for about 10 yrs now and have been lucky enough to be featured in Canadian Geographic Magazine and have been enjoying the outdoors since I can remember. There’s nothing quite like unplugging from the world for a few days and slowing down and just enjoying the moment. Nothing re charges the batteries better than “getting out there”!

The PITPC has been an amazing journey to follow from an everyday participant, and now having the chance to help out behind the scenes is extremely exciting. The PITPC is so unique to any other contest/event out there. Yes, there are rewards to find when you are out there, but the biggest reward you will find is yourself!
