Bonus Prize Package Draw

Bonus Prize Package Draw

The Paddle In The Park Contest was a great success in 2013, and looks to be even better this year. We’re hiding more paddles, with more paddle hiders, more great prize packages for those who find the paddles and for those who enter our draw – all to reinforce the idea that there are rewards to getting “Out There”. We’re amazed and flattered and so honoured that our little contest is being followed by so many people – and growing every day. Together with all of you, we here at the PITPC and our super-awesome sponsors, we’ve created a bit of a community of like-minded people that have helped spread the word, encouraging more people to reap the rewards of being in Nature.

Well now – as promised earlier in the week – we have an announcement that will surely feel rewarding!

We were this surprised and thrilled when we found out about it this announcemnt ourselves.

We were this surprised and thrilled when we found out about it this announcement ourselves.

Thanks to all our great sponsors who offered up some great prizes that make this contest possible. Today we’d like to thank one sponsor in particular, Nova Craft Canoe who has offered up something very special that will definitely make one of our contest winners feel pretty rewarded: A Prospector 16 canoe!

You read that right. Nova Craft has donated a freakin’ canoe! Here are the details from Nova Craft’s online brochure:

Nova Craft Prospector 16 Canoe – MSRP $1,399
The Chestnut Prospector has probably been described more often in text than any other canoe, it’s just that popular. Our version of this venerable craft is faithful to the original. Since 1984, we’ve gone out of our way to continue the tradition so future generations of paddlers can enjoy this icon of Canadian history.
The Workhorse of the Canadian north, our Prospector feels most at home loaded with gear on a remote wilderness lake or river. While it is best suited for river tripping, it remains versatile enough to be a good all round canoe. With experience, the self-righting aspects of the shallow arch hull will become apparent and confidence levels will soar. What’s more, it provides a very dry ride in big waves and whitewater. It is simply the best all round wilderness tripping canoe available.
  • shallow arch
  • moderate rocker
  • symmetrical
  • available with or without shoe keel
*Please Note that the winner will be responsible for the cost of delivery. Shipping is available though some might find it more cost friendly by picking up the canoe at the Nova Craft Canoe location in London, Ontario

So how do you get your hands on this reward? Well just like last year, we have  prize packages  for each paddle finder, plus another package drawn at random from every entry we receive. (We like to call this our prize for those following along the contest at home.) Starting July 1st, you can enter into these draws once per day until all the prize packages are given away.

This year we will have 8 of those prize package draws, and  now an extra draw for the Nova Craft canoe, this one taking place on September 15th, 2014. So make sure you get in lots of entries to increase your chances to win any of our great prizes!

Nova Craft Canoe is one of our awesome sponsors that make this contest so great!

We hope that the idea of finding a handcrafted canoe paddle and the chance of winning some great canoe tripping prizes (including the Nova Craft Prospector Canoe – seriously, we are still reeling over this one!) will help to ensure that you all get “Out There” lots this summer. But of course we mostly hope that you will plan to spend more time in Nature and find the true rewards that our wilderness has to offer.

Good luck and safe travels everyone!
